FULL MOON IN CANCER 12/29/20
THE THEME OF THIS FULL MOON IN CANCER IS BELONGING TO THE NIGHT
This Full Moon in Cancer, the last full moon of the year, marks the end of a tough cycle. As it rises in the dark sky may it wrap you in a resolution of protection and security, illuminating your internal sanctuary of safety––the light in you unharmed by a sometimes careless world. You have worked so hard, dived so deep and now is time to bring in security, belonging, and comfort. Yes 2020 might have been very rough, but it’s okay to also be okay. This moon will show you who and what really matters and release you from all that does not. Think of this moon as a hot clearing shower, cleansing you of all the junk and hurt that doesn’t make it into the new year, blessing you with comfort, love and a sense of belonging— even if just for the night.
Ritual
Take a hot shower and imagine the water as a stream of Divine golden light cleansing you of all the heaviness you’ve taken on this year. Bring into the shower a bowl of salt and visualize the sadness or grief filling the bowl, absorbing into the grains. As you wash, give thanks to all the grievances and let them go. Once you feel you have released enough ask the warm water to fill you with the sweetness and comfort you deserve. Dump the salt and allow it to dissolve down the drain. Dry off and dress in something clean and comfortable. Light a candle and invite in Divine Love, forgiveness, and care.
As above, so below.
